Direction: Fast prototype technique and that in the mould-manufacture application
Background: During my college time, I paid some attention on the new tech in mould-manufacture because of my major—moulding design. I came across a piece of news on the internet about using fast prototyping technology to produce the mould in USA and in Japan, which interested me a lot onto this newly-arisen scientific subject. I read some book on the topic later on. The quick development and the scale of application of the fast prototype technology also amazed me.
It is known to all that the study on fast prototype technology was started in 1990s in China. Only four colleges, like Xian Transportation University, have set up studies on it and the research range is very limited. While in Japan, the technology has already reached a very high standard, no matter concerning its education or application.
